Nearly two months removed from a week-long hospital stay in early March, Lil Wayne has reportedly returned to Los Angeles, California’s Cedars Sinai Medical Center after again experiencing seizures yesterday (April 30). TMZ.com has reported that a source close to the Cash Money Records superstar notified them of the news, and added that Wayne was cleared and released this morning (May 1).
Representatives from Cash Money and Universal Motown Records, who distribute Wayne’s music, have yet to release a statement. In the March reports, Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment President Mack Maine criticized TMZ for false reporting, as did Wayne’s America’s Most Wanted tour partner T.I.
Lil Wayne has publicly admitted to being an epileptic. Symptoms of epilepsy can include seizures, though Wayne blamed this year’s hospitalizations on exhaustion and dehydration.
In the last 24 hours, a public apology written by Lil Wayne released openly to the family of murdered Civil Rights figure Emmett Till regarding Wayne’s lyrics on the remix to “Karate Chop” by Future.
