Downtown Events, a division of Downtown Records, has announced an updated lineup for next month’s Downtown Music Fest. The Lower Manhattan, New York City event features two days of music, spanning many genres and niches.
From the Hip Hop community, Black Hippy will perform a headlining event Friday, May 10 at Capitale. Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul will play after rising sensation Fat Tony. Also on Friday, Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future will headline at Element.
On Saturday, Universal Republic sensation Mr. MFE (f/k/a Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire) will perform at Tammany Hall.
Previously, Downtown Records has released albums from Mos Def, Santigold (as Santogold) and Kid Sister.
