This week, Kanye West was subject to perhaps an unexpected response from Justin Timberlake, whom he had dissed earlier. Meanwhile, the beef kept on coming while Hip Hop fans scrambled to figure out what happened after Consequence tweeted he had smacked Joe Budden, who entered into a war of tweets. Meanwhile, Young Guru previewed a remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe,” complete with new verses from Kendrick and one from Jay-Z.
Justin Timberlake Responds To Kanye West’s Jab During “Saturday Night Live” Performance
Kanye West raised eyebrows last month when said “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t fucking with that ‘Suit & Tie.’” referring to Justin Timberlake’s Jay-Z assisted single. It turns out that JT would not go quietly into the night, however, as he responded during a live performance on Saturday Night Liveon March 9th. Timberlake performed “Suit & Tie,” (alongside Jay-Z) and switched a line in his second verse from “And aw, shit so sick, got a hit and picked up a habit,” to “My hit’s so sick, got rappers acting dramatic.” Timberlake later backed off from the dig on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” expressing love for Yeezy: “You know, really, everyone, keep calm. Keep calm… Let me just say, for the record, I absolutely love Kanye,” he added. “So there’s that. We love Kanye, right?”
Consequence Slaps Joe Budden, Gets Punched By Tahiry Jose
One situation that hasn’t quite resolved itself is the recent scuffle between “Love & Hip Hop” castmates Consequence and Joe Budden. During a reunion show taping, Cosequence announced via Twitter that he had slapped Budden, while Budden said Cons hit him from behind, and was punched by Tahiry Jose. The fued stemmed from a confrontation between Budden and Cons at a radio station that remained strictly verbal. Joe Tahiry later explained that she punched Cons because “you can’t just attack people and not expect people to react… I’m walking with whoever and you’re my dude, you are around me, then it’s either all or nothing. That’s just how I am.” Footage of the altercation has been released. Since the fight Consequence has gone on to question Budden’s sexuality.
