The wheels of the rumor mill have been turning for sometime regarding Busta Rhymes and his relationship with Dr. Dre and Aftermath. It seems that just about everyone who is down with Aftermath is rumored to be signing there, just ask Xzibit. Well, as it turns out Busta Rhymes has left J Records and has a deal in the works with Aftermath.
“We haven’t signed the papers yet, but the deal is done,” Busta’s manager Chris Lighty told allhiphop. “They have been working together for his album for the past few weeks.” This was after DJ Vlad originally dropped the bomb on his website.
This union should make anyone who heard Busta’s Dre-produced hit “Break Ya Neck” very happy. “Dre has known Busta for years,” Lighty added. “Dre had done songs with Busta in the past and had an interest in working with Busta intimately when he his deal was finished. And simply put, who wouldn’t want to work with Dr. Dre?”
