After months of delays, T.I.’s highly anticipated album Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head has finally hit record stores. Now, in a recent interview with XXL, the King of the South discusses the one collaboration that never made the final cut of his eighth solo album.

According to Tip, Jay-Z was expected to be featured on one of the songs featured on Trouble Man titled “G Season.” Although Jay was unable to jump on the Cardiak-produced track, T.I. was ultimately able to secure a verse from MMG newcomer Meek Mill.

“I asked Jay to get on [‘G Season’],” he said. “I sent word to Jay-Z, I asked him to get on it. I know he had a lot of shit going on, so he never got around to it. I finally ran into Meek in the club—we was at, when Kanye did that thing at the post office about five, six weeks ago. We was there together and I was like, Hey, man, I got something I want you to do. We left there, got something to eat, then we went to Just Blaze’s studio in Harlem and laid the shit down right there.”
