Veteran Los Angeles, California area deejay Julio G announced this week that he will return to terrestrial airwaves after a several-year hiatus. DubCNN reports that Julio, who has worked with Cypress Hill and Snoop Dogg in recent years, will begin at KDAY at 93.5 FM beginning in January 2013.
Julio is often credited as a pioneer within the Gangsta Rap movement of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Lynwood, California native also provided a platform for Hip Hop news during the prominence of Ruthless Records, Death Row Records and Priority Records.
