Warren G’s back on the music scene. He collaborated on two singles from upcoming soundtracks, “Let’s Go (It’s A Movement)” with KRS-One from the “Beef” DVD and “What You Gonna Do” with Nate from the “Starksy & Hutch,” which co-stars Snoop Dogg. Warren G had a lot to say about his “Beef” song. “We’re just letting people know it’s all about peace. We wanted to let people know battling doesn’t have to result in gunplay. We can settle it on records. We have Lil AI on there from Japan and she’s giving it up from the Japanese perspective. Hopefully, people can look at that as East Coast, West Coast and international. It’s one love for hip-hop. I want kids to have an alternative to thinking you the shit because you got a Platinum chain and spinners on your car. You can be the shit with a 4.0 grade average. In LA right now, there’s killings every 30 minutes. They gonna call the national guard in here in a minute.”
Warren G has also reunited with Snoop and Nate and they plan to release their 213 project soon on Geffen/Interscope. “It’s incredible to be back with two dudes that I love and respect and came up with all my life. We have a lot of great records by a lot of different producers. Plus I’m working on my solo project. That’s going to be off the chain.” Warren is currently a free agent with a lot of offers on the table. “I’m just taking it step by step. I’m going to make it happen because it’s time. The wait is over because it’s going down.”
