Spoke to Slug and Brother Ali last night (be on the lookout for features on each of them within the next month) and they had some interesting news on prospective projects in the future. One album is complete and nearly ready to be released is Brother Ali’s “Champion” EP, which will feature some of the dopest covers I’ve seen. The 10 song EP was produced entirely by Ant once again and should be out in early 2004, if not before. Meanwhile, both Ali and Slug said an album together was a good possibility. Slug also said that a “Felt” part 2 with Murs is likely, with Ant replaced Grouch…
According to hiphopsite, Kool Keith will be adding to his seeming infinite list of alter egos as he is releasing an album under the name Apollo Creed. No word as to whether he battles an Italian with lots of heart or a robotic Russian killer on the album…

Diddy for “Ooh.” Hiphopsite got a listen to Ed’s “I Still Got To Have It” which calls out Puffy; “See I still got to have it/Edo’s back at it/took a second crack at it/cause too many crabs had it uncharismatic/never do justice to my beat/now I want justice for the street” plus “Diddy take a back seat/when you jack my beat and put Mary on it/without the ‘Bury on it.”
