It has been 2 years since the Queensbridge duo released “Infamy,” which in the wake of Jay-Z’s slaughtering of Prodigy, 9-11, and the overall shitty quality of the album, led to it being very poorly received by their fans. This year they released the “Free Agents” mixtape which many felt saw the duo return to top form.
Currently wrapping up “Amerika’s Nightmare,” Havoc recently spoke to MTV regarding the project. “The album is definitely coming in February. When it comes out, there will be no disappointments. You have a lot of dudes putting out albums and they’re not even putting their full efforts into it. We’re putting in our full efforts.”
Thus far, aside from two contributions from Alchemist, Havoc has handled all of the production. They are hoping to enlist the services of Eminem for some production as well. “That would be a shining moment,” Havoc said. Eminem is certainly capable of producing that sinister sound that Mobb Deep sounds so good over.
