With news this morning of Above The Law emcee KMG’s death, the West Coast Hip Hop community has taken to Twitter to remember the veteran rapper.

Crooked I, who was briefly a label-mate to KMG at Death Row Records in the early 2000s, spoke of Above The Law’s impact on Hip Hop.

MC Ren, who worked with KMG at Ruthless Records, as well as the group’s Tommy Boy Records release Time Will Reveal, commented on his abilities.

Warren G, who along with Above The Law, is credited as a leading G-Funk music-maker, pointed to the group and KMG’s influence in the musical style.

Ice-T, who later tweeted favorite A.T.L. songs, also spoke on the loss.
