Pop group Maroon 5’s collaboration with Wiz Khlifa continues to be an unshakable chart-force. Sliding two spots down the charts to #6, the single still topped all other rappers. Pitbull and Flo Rida stayed close behind, as they’ve been for a month. Cash Money Records’ Birdman’s posse cut and a Maybach Music Group Self Made, Vol. 2album cut from Wale made the charts as the summer got a lot hotter.

Birdman Puts It Down For The “B-Boyz”

As Birdman (f/k/a Baby) gears up for his fifth solo album, Bigga Than Life, the New Orleans, Lousiana executive-turned-rapper brought out a track that ambiguously praised his love for his neighborhood and Hip Hop. Frequent collaborators Mack Maine, DJ Khaled and Ace Hood appeared, as the quartet was joined by TDE’s Kendrick Lamar on this CMR record. This is the Big Tymers alum’s latest single, following “Born Stunna.” It sold nearly 9,000 first-week downloads.

Wale Be “Puttin’ On”

The top-selling Hip Hop album of the week, Maybach Music Group Presents…Self Made, Vol. 2 featured Wale’s “I Be Puttin’ On.” As a single, the track cracked the Top 100, selling 18,000 units. The DMV emcee has six tracks on the Warner Bros. Records-distributed compilation.
