In case you forgot, Corey Miller, bka C-Murder was arresting around a year and a half ago for the murder of 16 year old Steve Thomas. The incident occurred in Platinum nightclub in Jefferson Parrish, New Orleans. Thomas got into the club with a fake idea where an argument was said to ensue with Miller who them fatally shot him in the chest.
The murder had some 300 witnesses and numerous people have identified Miller. The No Limit rapper, who was on bail at the time for an unrelated attempted murder charge, claims innocence and will plead ‘not guilty.’ In May of 2002 Miller was denied bail after the prosecutor proved witnesses were subject to threats from Miller’s associates.
Since that time, Miller has done little to help his case. While in prison he organized the harassment of other witnesses from a cell phone which was illegally snuck to him by guards. The two guards responsible were soon fired. Miller’s lawyers and prosecution will select the jury for the trial today in New Orleans.
