In true player fashion, Ice-T threw the party to introduce press to his new clothing line, Ice Wear and Liquid Ice, his energy drink at Privilege Gentleman’s Cabaret in Chelsea, Manhattan. There were plenty of strippers and Liquid Ice with vodka to go around. Some men were even lucky enough to get lap dances in the back. Attendees could also pose for pictures in fake furs. Keith Murray was in the house, as was NYC Power 105’s Dr. Dre and Ice-T’s now-infamous fiancé, Coco.
Juelz Santana, on the other hand, picked a not-so-obvious spot to play tracks from his upcoming Diplomat debut, “From Me To U” for press, DJs, retail, etc. Filling the Screening Room (a movie theater/restaurant that shows artsy/indie films) in Tribeca, NYC to capacity, Juelz partied into the night with his mama, Cam’ron, Jimmy Jones, Pain In Da Ass and Def Jam CEO/Presidents Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles. DJ S&S was on the 1 & 2s while Hot 97’s DJ Enuff and producer D.R. Period mingled. Boasting tracks by the Heatmakers and Just Blaze, Julez’s CD is full of future radio hits like his first single, Dip Set (Santana’s Town). When asked about his CD, Juelz replied, “It’s just a lot of me, putting my past life, my experiences and what I’ve been through and what I’m going through and where I want to be in life into my music and making the best out of it.” “From Me To U” drops August 19.
