Once again it’s time for the Entertainer’s Basketball Classic at Rucker Park in Harlem, NYC. Word is LeBron James will be playing on Hov’s Roc-A-Fella team. Fat Joe and his Terror Squad crew, which ranked #1 last year, better watch out. For those that missed last year’s face off between Terror Squad vs. Ruff Ryders, pick up “Entertainer’s Basketball Classic at Rucker Park: The Second Season.” Besides player’s awesome moves, the most spectacular spotting of the summer of 2002 was Kobe Bryant, a.k.a. “Lord of the Rings,” who came out after winning his third NBA title. In addition to an overall summary of the 2002 season and history of the tournament, this DVD highlights the Top 10 dunks, Top 10 Plays, The Championship and a “Become A Baller” instructional section. Hip-hop artists (Fat Joe, Ja Rule) and music (by Freeway, Xzibit) are featured throughout, plus you get a bonus CD, “Across 155th Street: The Soundtrack” with new music by Fat Joe, Mobb Deep and more.

“Life I$: The Life And Times of Todd Shaw” is a well-done documentary about the Oakland rap legend. Featuring interviews with $hort Dog himself, his ma dukes, E-40, Chuck D, Sway and more, the film chronicles his rise from lil’ man to self-made freaky tale-telling MC. You get the inside scoop about his beef with the Luniz as well as their fight at KMEL’s Summer Jam concert. The DVD features all of Short’s hits plus new music by the project’s producer, D’wayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Toné. Other highlights include his Las Vegas Birthday party, Lovely Ladies (Invitation Only), a photo gallery and outtakes. (Available August 26.)
