If there is any doubt as to who is winning the ongoing battle between 50 Cent and Ja Rule. Witness the latest incident that took place in South Africa. Following his concert in Durban, Ja Rule’s entourage threatened to break the neck of a local DJ for playing a 50 Cent song.

After Ja’s set, DJ Staxx (real name Sakhile Xulu) began spinning for the crowd. Amongst his song selection was 50 Cent’s “21 Questions.” “I chose it because, as an entertainer, I give the people what they want to hear. Staxx said of his decision to spin 50. “At the moment, this is the most popular song in 10 countries”

While the song played, the sound was cut and an announcement was made to Staxx that he could not play that song. An accompanying message was sent by a Murder Inc. associate, who climbed the tower from which Staxx was spinning. The message was clear; either he was gonna break the record, or break his neck.

“I had no security, no contact with the crew and this guy was standing there threatening me and swearing at me while I was trying to perform. I didn’t want to test his patience. I was totally alone in that tower and he could have easily pushed me off it.” Staxx turned over the vinyl and it was then smashed to pieces. How do you spell petty?
