When Defari made his debut in 199 , heads slept. Some even called “Focused Daily” disappointing, despite Defari’s trademark rhymes and terrific production from Alchemist, E-Swift and Evidence. With his new LP, “Odds & Evens” doesn’t differ from that formula much with significant contribution from E-Swift and Evidence again.
In addition to the board work from Swift and Ev, Defari has enlisted the help of Fredwreck, Barbershop Kiz and newcomers Porse and Nucleus. Also look for guest appearances by Tha Liks, Dilated Peoples and Phil Da Ag. Defari said of the album, which drops July 15th on High Times Records, “It¹s something that really explains my journey. When you hear the album, you¹ll get a culmination of not only my maturity, but my journey throughout the game.”
