On July 19th in Boston Inebriated Rhythm has organized the first annual Hip-Hop Peace & Unity Festival. The free event will unite and celebrate Hip-Hop’s cultural diversity by promoting positivity. The City of Boston, Grit Records, Pepsi and Dunkin Donuts will sponsor the event.

Among those on-hand for the festival will be KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Skillz, PMD, and ED.O.G. In addition to performing material from his upcoming Grit Records release (“Down To A Science”), KRS will host a roundtable discussion (along with Kane and Pharaohe) with local businessmen and Congressmen.

The goal is “to highlight “Hip-Hop” from an educational and Historical perspective to help ensure city officials provide constructive outlet’s for local youth and help them understand the ‘real meaning and origin behind the culture of Hip-Hop.’”
