The fun just never stops. With Obie Trice’s highly anticipated debut (“Cheers”) just around the corner, Obie will open for 50 and Jay at the Roc The Mic tour to get his name in people’s mouths. To add some noise, Obie has also a new track out, with none other than his bosses…Dr.Dre and Eminem.
“Bodyguard” features Dre responded to Ja Rule’s threats (“the media just feeds into these feuds/trying to add fuel to the fire/this little nigga Ja Rule saying he gonna slap me/nigga please you’d have to jump and swing up just to hit me in the knees” and “and pussy you not Pac, I knew’em/and Pac was a real nigga, you just a fucking insult to him/its too bad we had to fall out before he passed/cause if he could see this shit know he would whoop your ass”). Eminem continues the taunting on the hook while Obie laces a mean verse himself.
According to hiphopsite, 50’s appearance as guest editor for XXL has caused some shit. Word got out that in the same issue there would be pictures of Benzino and his son, leading to Benzino rushing the XXL offices. Cooler heads prevailed and things didn’t get physical. The war continues…
