On the way to the opening night of the 50 Cent/Jay-Z Roc The Mic Tour in Connecticut on Wednesday, Damon Dash stopped by S.I.R. Studios in midtown Manhattan to introduce The Roc’s next release, State Property’s “State Property 2,” due out August 5. He talked about The Roc’s new music division, Roc Music which branches into R&B and alternative, etc. with artists like Denim, Allen Anthony, Rell, Young Steff, Samantha Ronson and Nicole Ray. He’s also working on several new films—one features Kevin Bacon!

Cormega’s working on his 3rd album, “Urban Legend,” due out in early 2004. His label, Legal Hustle will also release a compilation, “Cormega Presents Legal Hustle,” in the late summer 2003. His new artist, Donà will drop her debut, “My Brother’s Keeper,” in 2004. He also plans to release a DVD with never-before-seen music videos including The Come Up featuring Large Professor.

Zion I is set to drop Curb Servin’ on July 15, featuring nine new tracks and exclusive remixes by Triple Threat’s Vin Roc and one by Madlib (“Critical”). The CD also introduces up-n-coming artists Deuce Eclipse, D.U.S.T., Balance and MTV Hip-Hop battle runner-up, Locksmith. The DVD boasts a short documentary, behind-the-scenes footage and live performances, including the one at their Deep Water Slang record release party in San Francisco.
