Much like his shady boss, 50 Cent is going to make a movie based on his life. After Eminem brought in $116 million at the box office, 6 million copies of the soundtrack, and an Oscar for “Lose Yourself,” 50 was inspired to put life on the silver screen as well.
While “8 Mile” was semi-autobiographical, 50’s story will be much stricter to his life. The tale of the Jamaica Queens rapper will be drastically different, as his lived through shootings and spent time dealing crack. To capture his hard-knock life, the film is being developed by Terry Winter, who is a writer of The Sopranos.
The story will focus on 50’s poverty-stricken upbringing in Queens, from dealing with losing his mother at the age of 8, to being on the street dealing crack at age 12. The movie will follow all the way up to his rise to superstardom.
