All the hype lately for Joe Budden has proven to be hot air, as the Def Jam emcee dropped his self-titled debut to incredibly disappointing sales. Budden didn’t even crack the 100,000 mark in his first week, and expectations ranged from 300 to 400,000. I’m sure his camp will be quick to blame it on bootlegging, but they don’t account for 200,000+ units…

Philadelphia’s Roscoe P. Coldchain, best known as a member of The Neptunes Star Trak imprint, will release his debut September 24th. Aside from the obvious production from Pharrell and Chad, word is Primo and Alchemist will chime in as well…

Great news for all you EC fans, a couple more releases coming your way soon. First up is Cage’s “Weatherproof” EP coming at the end of July, complete with beats from Rjd2, J-Zone, Mighty Mi and Camu Tao. “The High Light Zone,” High & Mighty’s second full-length, will drop on September 23rd. Look for guest spots from Copywrite, Cage, Tame One, Vast Aire, and Rahzel. Lastly, Cage and Tame One are preparing an LP together as well, “The Morgue Project.”
