Following in the footsteps of Jay-Z (no pun intended), 50 Cent will join the Jiggaman as a spokesmen for Reebok. After Jay-Z’s S.Carter Collection was the fastest selling shoe in the history of the company, Reebok has reached a deal with 2003’s breakout star.
Fifty’s shoe will be dubbed the ‘G-Unit Collection,’ and will hit the shelves of select cities in the fall. They expect to follow that up with a major launch in early 2004. Look for an exclusive CD to be included in early purchases.
Coincidentally, as Jay and 50 are Reebok’s only non-athletes with a signature shoe, they are also touring together this summer on the Roc The Mic Tour. The tour is sponsored by Reebok and Foot Locker and they will be organizing some autograph sessions for the NYC rappers while they tour.
