For nearly a year, Drake has been talking about recording with Florence and the Machine.

Drake and Florence Welch, who became friends after meeting at the 2010 MTV Awards, both have albums coming up, with Florence’s Ceremonials and Drake’s Take Care releasing within weeks of one another.

So has the duo gotten a chance to collaborate?

“We haven’t actually done any recording together,” said Welch, answering in the negative to MTV News. “Whenever I see Drake, we always just end up kind of hanging out, which is equally fun, but no, we haven’t done anything together yet.”

The two have gotten an opportunity to perform together, however, as Welch joined Drizzy on stage for a rendition of “Fireworks.”

“I think we’re both big fans of each other’s work,” Welch said. “If we would have the time it is something I would definitely like to do, but we’re both really busy.”
