After some speculation earlier this week when Damon Dash announced a press conference concerning Ol’ Dirty Bastard, the Wu Clansmen has signed with the Roc. At a press conference in Manhatten on Thursday, ODB, who is now officially going by Dirt McGirt, spoke in his career move.
“I’m happy to be here. I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to touch another microphone. I’m happy my eyes are still open.”
Damon Dash also spoke at the gathering, “I think what you are witnessing is an evolution of an empire…and now its time to evolve,” Dame said. “Its time to do bigger things and touch everyone. Any opportunity I see, when I see a good person, when I see someone as talented, that’s about their business, I could care less about what everybody else says about them. That’s why I have chosen to get with Ol’ Dirty Bastard.”
Long time friend and fellow lunatic Mariah Carey was on hand at the press conference to support the Ol’ Dirt Dog.
