In support of their Fat Beats Records release, Many Styles, Apollo and Shortkut from the Invisibl Skratch Piklz and Vinroc, a.k.a. Triple Threat stopped in NYC to rock the SOB’s crowd with their turntable tricks and party tracks. First up was Ed O.G., who performed songs from his new EP and excited old school heads with his anthem, Ed O.G. & Da Bulldogs’ “I Got To Have It” that he claims “put Boston rap on the map.” He was quick to big up Beantown rappers, including Krumbsnatcha. Funny that Benzino’s name was never heard.

Then in front of an amped crowd and contemporaries like Roc Raida and Eclipse of the X-ecutioners, Triple Threat demonstrated the true art of turntablism. They turned tricks and got the audience groovin,’ offering a taste of the treasures on their CD Many Styles, which features Talib Kweli, Mystic, Rob Swift & Roc Raida of the X-ecutioners, Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief, Goapele and Zion I.
