As reported a couple weeks back, Ras Kass is on the run from the police after failing to appear for his court date stemming from his third DUI infraction. Ras isn’t a fugitive so much because he wants to stay out of the pen but because he wants to get his release from Priority.
Label problems have tarnished the career of one of hip-hop’s most talented emcees, and now Ras is looking to do something about it. “The jail shit, that’s getting sensationalized,” Ras Kass told allhiphop. Ras said he is evading one time in order to “be released from the fuckin’ plantation [Priority].”
Ras Kass also said that he is the only person with a copy of his new album, “Goldyn Chyld.” “If Priority wants the album back, I’m willing to give them the album back, if they give me a release. That’s all this is about,” he stated. “I’ll turn myself in, but I’m not going to jail and my children been having to suffer all this time while I been working hard, really fucking working hard.” (Source Allhiphop.)
