In December, Suge found himself in prison due to parole violations. The violation came in the form of his associating with gang members, a no-no according to his parole terms. On Tuesday Suge gained his release from the LA Board of Prison Terms.
They also awarded him with a credit of 61 days in prison. If he had been denied by the board, he would have been sent to prison for another year. With 4 of the 5 charges against him dropped, Suge was just ordered to perform 200 hours of anti-gang community service.
“(Knight) and I were both very pleased with the result,” defense attorney David Chesnoff told Reuters. “We appreciate the fairness of the proceedings. I’m just sorry he had to be in custody for two months but happy he’s going back to work.”
