After releasing an absolute classic in 1995 (“Only Built 4 Cuban Linx”), Raekwon followed up with the incredibly disappointing “Immobilarity” in 1999. Rae’s oft-delayed follow-up was put on hold indefinitely when Loud folded and he was left without a deal. It looks as if that is over. According to allhiphop Raekwon just signed a mult—album deal with IceWater.

In addition, Rae is the Chief Creative Officer of the new label. IceWater is currently ironing out a distribution deal with Universal. According Eric “Big E” Hochstein, Raekwon’s LP will be the top priority.

“This record will be on some classic Cuban Linx shit and will put Rae back where he always deserved to be in hip-hop,” Big E said. “We are planning to make this record a modern day classic which will have features from all of his brothers from the Clan, along with many more special surprise guests.”
