Two Indianapolis-based security guards have been charged with impersonating a public servant after police said they ushered Lil Wayne’s tour buses with flashing lights and sirens Wednesday. According to police reports obtained by Indiana’s WISH-TV, Ronald Andre Harrod, 43, and Larry Lee Richardson, 23, “were wearing police-type uniforms and gun belts as they drove a caravan of tour buses from Assembly Hall to a local Nightclub.”
Police said Richardson led the motorcade in an unmarked Crown Victoria with flashing red and blue lights and sirens with Harrod following in a Dodge Intrepid. The motorcade was en route to a local nightclub where Lil Wayne was performing following his stop in Bloomington for the “I Am Still Music” tour.
The men were not directly associated with Lil Wayne, his label or his management. Richardson and Harrod told authorities they are employed by an Indianapolis company and have permission and the credentials to drive with lights and sirens.
