New Orleans, Louisiana emcee Dee-1 recently won a mentoring session with Hip Hop and fashion mogul Russell Simmons, according to NOLA.com. The former school-teacher was selected by the Def Jam Records co-founder as a MySpace artist of note. Users of the social networking site were asked to vote on the most deserving artist to win time with Simmons. Dee-1 came in first.
