Yesterday it was announced that Eminem has entered the world of fashion. After having the most successful year of any hip hop artist ever, Marshall Mathers is looking to expand on that in 2003. Coming the late summer will be his new clothing line, “Shady.” The clothing will be done by Nesi Apparel, the same company that is behind the “School of Hard Knocks” clothing line.

The sportswear is said to be “a pure reflection of him and what he’d be wearing.” Judging by that statement you could assume that there will be a lot of sweat suits and things of that nature, seeing as that is what Slim is usually rocking.

Following the footsteps of Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Outkast and Snoop Dogg, experts predict that the line will be very well-received. “The trick of keeping hip-hop merchandise alive is to keep signing the newest act,” said David Wolfe, creative director for the Doneger Group, a retail trend and buying office. “Eminem has a wonderful cachet. Especially since parents are [annoyed] by him, he’s so appealing to teenagers.”
