Late last year, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania emcee Wiz Khalifa announced a partnership with local glasses chain Eyetique to release 500 pairs of “Elevators” sunglasses. The accessories, resembling the custom-designed shades covered Wiz’s eyes in the “Black and Yellow” video, are now nearly sold out.

According to Pittsburgh D Business News, Eyetique is reporting that the seven designer stores watched daily website traffic increase from 3,000 to 40,000 daily page-views. A reported 30% of sales are international. Moreover, the ’80s-inspired Elevator glasses will likely see a second-run. The $225 glasses are available in black and tortoise.

A prototype pair, claimed to be worth $10,000, will remain in Eyetique’s collection.

Wiz Khlifa will release his major label debut, Rolling Papers, on March 29th.
