After getting plenty of shine via Cam’Ron’s Roc-A-Fella debut, “Come Home With Me,” and from the NYC mixtape circuit, The Diplomats are prepared to release their official debut. “Diplomatic Immunity” will hit the streets on March 4th on Cam’s own Diplomat Records imprint.
The group, which is made up of Cam’Ron, Jimmy Jones, Freekey Zekey, and Juelz Santana, have already hit fans with the lead single, “We Built This City.” As you can probably guess from the title, the song is a cover of Jefferson Starship’s (Airplane) song by the same name.
Like many rappers, Cam is quick to put his brethren on the map as they are some of his closest friends, “These guys are like my brothers, we vibe together, we hang together; we stay together and do music together.”
