During an interview with Hot 97.5 FM’s Bootleg Kev, Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame confirmed plans for a reality show that would also feature Gucci Mane. Rumors of the proposed show began weeks ago, but none of the supposed participants would confirm any details.
“Yeah, it would be entertaining,” Waka Flocka said. “The only thing I tell people is to make it make sense, because we’re some wild dudes. When they put those cameras up on us, ain’t no telling what we might do.”
Just 25 days into the New Year, Waka and the 1017 Bricksquad have been making headlines. Waka Flocka Flame spent a few nights in a Georgia jail due to charges related to the December raid on his Henry County home. Not to be outdone, fellow Bricksquad member Gucci Mane had his legal team file a special plea of mental incompetency in relation to charges from the same raid and arrest. Gucci was subsequently admitted to a mental institution, and topped things off by getting an ice cream cone tattooed on his face.
Aside from the basic entertainment any reality show provides, does Waka Flocka Flame think the show could potentially change people’s opinion of him? It may be irrelevant. Waka currently has the number 13 song in the country with the gold-selling single “No Hands,” and he says he’s already working on his sophomore album, tentatively titled Triple F Life: Friends, Fans & Family.

“Nine times out of ten, when somebody meets me, they already have their whole outlook on me,” Waka added. “It’s like, ‘Oh this guy’s a monster. He’s bringing gangbanging to the area.’ But when I come there, it’s the total opposite…If you don’t know me, I don’t expect you to respect me or understand me because you don’t know me. And I ain’t faulting you for that. Anybody who talks down about me, I don’t never get mad at them.”
