After being released from Rikers Island three months ago, Lil Wayne will return to the Empire State to kick off his “I Am Music II” tour beginning March 18. Rick Ross, labelmate Nicki Minaj, Travis Barker and Mixmaster Mike will join Weezy in Buffalo, New York as the tour begins at the HSBC Arena. The 25-date tour will include stops in Chicago, Oakland, Canada and Lil Wayne’s native New Orleans.
The “I Am Music II” tour follows Wayne’s 2008-2009 “I Am Music” tour, which reportedly grossed over $42 million in concert revenues. The original “I Am Music” tour featured Gym Class Heroes, Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole and T-Pain. Much like the original, the sequel will only last a few months, covering March, April and May.
