Back in 1996 when Rhymesayers was first releasing their classic Headshots tapes, Beyond was their primary artist. He released the highly slept on “Comparison” and soon disappeared from the hip hop scene. He released a b-sides album, made some appearances on Headshots tapes and appeared on Atmosphere’s “Overcast!” but other than that, he has been very quiet since 1997.

Since then, Beyond changed his name to Musab and is now looking to make his mark once again with “Respect The Life.” The Minneapolis emcee still calls Rhymesayers Entertainment his home, and still uses Ant (of Atmosphere) as his primary producer. Fellow Rhymesayer in Brother Ali also producers a chunk of the album as well as Seattle’s own Vitamin D and Jake One. The album is in stores now, here is the track listing:
