In the mid-90’s, Hot 97 had one show that kept all the underground heads happy; Future Flavas. The show, which was hosted by legendary producer/deejay’s Marley Marl and Pete Rock, was dedicated to giving some light to underground artists.
Then Hot 97 decided that it was in their best interest to cancel the show. And so it has been extinct until now. XM Satellite Radio channel 66 RAW has brought the show back. It should be noted that the show is uncensored.
There is some other great news, Marley Marl and Pete Rock will not be the only legends hosting the show. This time around, none other than DJ Premier will be on the roster as well. I’ll bet that most of the call-in’s will be asking for beats.
