It is always a shame when a good group breaks up, especially one that has contributed to hip hop the way the Goodie Mob did with “Soul Food.”
Original members of the Dungeon Family, which also includes Outkast, Goodie made their debut in 1995 with the aforementioned “Soul Food.” They followed it up with “Still Standing” in 1997 and then the disappointing “World Party” in 1999.
Cee-Lo, who recently released his solo debut, “Cee-Lo Green and His Perfect Imperfections,” spoke about the break up, “I am sorry to say, it hurts my heart to say, but there is no more Goodie Mob. We had professional and personal differences, I guess I’ll go with the typical ‘best of luck to everyone,’ you know what I’m sayin.”
