One of Hip Hop’s best known DJs in the 1980’s will be back in 2011 with a new album. Thought to be retired, Judgement Day will be Terminator X’s first album in 16 years. On the LP he works with long time collaborator Andreaus 13.
“Andreaus 13 and Terminator have watched the Music industry corporate executive’s destroy these sacred elements that Hip Hop and Rap were developed on,” a representative for Terminator X told AllHipHop in a statement. “Just like they destroyed the world’s economy on wall street! Judgment Day is here to counter the chaos and mayhem that the current state of Hip Hop has caused to besiege our community.”
Judgement Day will be Terminator X’s third solo album. In 1991 he released Terminator X & The Valley Of Jeep Beats. Three years later in 1994 he dropped Super Bad, which featured the likes of DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Cold Crush Brothers, Fantastic 5, Whodini, Ice-T, Chuck D, Ice Cube and the late Jam Master Jay.
X left Public Enemy in 1991 to pursue a solo career. Their first three albums featured Terminator X tracks “Terminator X Speaks With His Hands,” “Terminator X To The Edge Of Panic” and “Leave This Off Your Fuckin’ Charts.”
