On Wednesday night, The Hit Factory in midtown Manhattan was packed with media, radio, retail and DJs waiting to hear Busta’s latest roar. Fresh from the studio where he was completing his CD’s mastering, Bus-A-Bus stormed into the huge studio boasting an even bigger smile. After relaying that J Records was putting a lot of pressure on him to finish his CD, he admitted triumphantly that he had made the deadline for his November 26, 2002 release.

Jay Dilla, one of Bus’ usual beat collaborators and ex-member of Slum Village produced a handful of tracks and the Neptunes blessed Bus with–what else?!–a certified club hit “Call An Ambulance.” Swizz Beatz and DJ Scratch, EPMD’s DJ also gave Busta the goods and tabloid honies J. Lo and Mariah Carey are following in Ms. Jackson’s footsteps, dueting with the self-professed sexy muthaf***a. The Flipmode Squad show their a** all over the album: Spliff Starr (check for his solo album soon), Rah Digga (hers too, titled What If The Sniper Were A Broad) and Rampage.

The night’s highlight for sure was the “Make It Clap” remix featuring Sean Paul. After sipping on Hennessy and smoking a lil’ somethin’, Busta transformed The Hit Factory into a hype club. He demanded everyone get up while he chanted, danced and instructed the engineer to play the track over and over and over. The entire room was moving. But what else do you expect from Busta? Ain’t no party like a Busta Rhymes party because a Busta Rhymes party don’t stop!
