Boston, Massachusetts emcee and actor Slaine recently decided to push back A World With No Skies after his increased profile from acting in Ben Affleck’s The Town. The decision was made to clear samples, as the emcee and his label Suburban Noize anticipated new listeners to the La Coka Nostra member’s breakthrough solo album.

As A World With No Skies awaits release date, the emcee’s premier video “99 Bottles” premiered this week at MTVu. Directed by La Coka brother Danny Boy, who was in 1990s group House of Pain, the video conveys a missing link in Hip Hop to Slaine. “’99 Bottles’ is basically a bar room brawl anthem that has a throwback sound to the era where Hip Hop was rowdy and fun at the same time,” Slaine said in a statement. “I was not only influenced by House of Pain and Cypress Hill, but now I am kind of a part of that lineage in the Hip Hop family tree. This joint was kind of a tip of the cap to them with my own rhyme style and personality on it. I don’t like club songs, when I want to party and get bent, this is what it sounds like.”

Slaine will be joining Kottonmouth Kings and Big B on tour this month at the following dates:
