Kurupt’s decision to go back to Suge Knight and Tha Row had a lot of people up in arms, none more than his closest friends and partners in rhyme; Snoop and Daz. Both have been very vocal about their feelings on the subject, both in songs and with the press.

Kurupt has responded to these criticisms, although not in the way most would expect. On a KKBT radio show Kurupt introduced a song he did in open letter format. In the songs second verse he says “Me and one of my brothers used to be the tightest group/And ’til this mother f-cking day we the tightest group,” obviously in reference to Daz.

Other lines that stood out were in reference to their being hypocritical, “I didn’t change when y’all n-ggas wanted to stay/I didn’t change when things wasn’t going our way/I didn’t change when y’all n-ggas want to burst/The shoe was one a different foot and the roles reversed.” He also expressed his desire to maintain a friendship with them, “I could do this sh-t all by myself,” Kurupt rapped, “I’d rather be read than placed back on the shelf/I’m a mother f–king g/Forever ’til I die c-p-t/I love y’all cuzz!”
