Be on the look out for Shabazz. The Bay Area emcee will drop his debut album, “Baysick Instinct,” before the end of the year on Sura Records.
The thought-provoking emcee is looking use his music to spread his message, not to make money. “For me,” explains Shabazz, “it’s about the big picture; and the big picture is about spirituality. I try to inhale knowledge and exhale wisdom because it’s just really time to bring some respect for each other back in the game. My motto is ‘slay the bi*ch-made and pave a better way.”
Tracks like “Break Me Off Some Time” detail unfair sentence recommendations by over-worked and disinterested Public Defenders; Shabazz uncovers and discovers unjustices in the modern world today. He doesn’t just talk about them though, he offers solutions as to how to correct the situation.
Well-known producer Studio Ton will handle the production. Studio Ton has worked with the likes of E-40, B-Legit, Celly Cel, Kurupt, Snoop Dogg, UGK, Tupac, and Montel Jordan.
