The Heineken R&B Ampt Music Series will showcase four up-and-coming artists today in Atlants. The artists will be performing at The Cotton Club (152 Luckie Street, Atlanta, GA) today. The doors open at 7:00 PM and the show starts at 8:00 PM. The artist line-up includes LaMajic, Transcendental Funk, Heston and LaTocha Scott (formerly of Xscape). The evening will also include a special presentation by Cody ChestnuTT and guest performances by Eric Anthony, Gabrielle and Rudy Currence
The special presentation by ChestnuTT will be to Erika Bryant, the Atlanta-based winner of The Heineken Music Initiative/The ASCAP Foundation R&B Grant program. This newly-created grant program, launched last March, is designed to assist emerging R&B songwriters further their careers, and will benefit up-and-coming songwriters in key music markets across the country (New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Miami). The winning songwriter from each of the markets will be awarded a $3,500 grant.
