Stones Throw Records artist Mayer Hawthorne has received praise from the likes of Snoop Dogg and John Mayer, now he’s seeing support from auto-maker Mazda. The Michigan-born R&B sensation and his band The Country will embark on a fall tour sponsored by Mazda.
Last year, the Los Angeles-based singer and deejay released A Strange Arrangement. “When I Said Goodbye” from that album would later appear in Kanye West’s “We Were Once A Fairytale” video. Mayer is also going to appear on Virginia Hip Hop producer/emcee Nottz‘ upcoming album, You Need This Music, due next month.
