There was some talk not too long ago that Dr Dre was being sued for copywrite infringement for the sample that was used in Truth Hurts’ single “Addictive.” Things have since taken a turn for the worse.
An Attorney from Texas named Dedra Davis was hired by a company named Saregama India Limited from Calcutta, India. They are claiming that “Addictive” contains a sped up sample from a Hindi track called “Thoda Resham Lagta Hai” by Lata Mangeshkar.
Apparently, it has come to a lawsuit because the two parties could not come to a resolution. Dedra Davis claims that her client feels that their religious beliefs [Hindi] were blatantly disregarded and that the lyrics in the song “Addictive” are obscene and offensive.
