“Scratch” is a documentary detailing the artform of turntablism. The DVD is a 2-disc set featuring over four hours of bonus footage in addition to the original 92 minute documentary itself. The film was directed by Doug Pray and produced by Brad Blondheim.
The bonus footage includes audio commentary from the director and the producer, additional scenes and extended interviews featuring the likes of Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Premier, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, and DJ Shadow. Extras also include the original theatrical trailers, artist and crew bios, “How To Rock A Party” feature with DJ Z-Trip, selections from DJ Q-Bert’s “Wave Twisters” and “Complete Do It Yourself”, Scratch notation demo, previews and Weblinks.
Mix Master Mike, Rob Swift, Cut Chemist & Nu-Mark, DJ Craze, Bullet Proof Scratch Hamsters, Babu, DJ Krush, Grand Wizard Theodore and many others are all featured in the documentary portion of the DVD. You can cop the DVD at hiphopsite.com.
