Concert ticket sales are feeling the full effect of the volatile state of the economy. Pollstar.com recently announced that key concert industry indicators show a 15% drop in sales – a noticeable decline from sales of years past. Yet while the industry at large is burdened with this shortcoming in sales, a few key artists are still able to bring in the bucks.

Although this summer’s 100 most profitable North American tours prominently feature rock and country acts, both Jay-Z and the Black Eyed Peas rank in the top 20 tours on the list. The B.E.P. are holding steady at number 6 with 464,201 tickets sold, while Hova barely missed the top ten at spot number 12 with 269,564 tickets sold.
