Ray Benzino has teamed up with Requiem Clothing and Hip Hop Weekly Magazine for “Mamman Pa Crie (Mama Don’t Cry) – A Requiem to Haiti,” featuring a line-up of some of Haiti’s top performers, including Black Da-Da, Redd Eyez, Billy Blue and Melky Jean, Wyclef’s sister. The song was recorded over a three day period in Miami, Florida. The group recently debuted the track the Carma Foundation’s “Gemini’s Give Back 3” fundraiser in New York City on June 13.
Now, Benzino and company bring us the video to the tribute. Wyclef Jean, brother of the featured Melky Jean, is featured in the video and says that, “This is a big song. It’s an international, worldly song and I was happy to be a part of the video.”
