Draped in a Brett Favre jersey down to his knees, Cormega strutted into Justin’s around 9:30 PM. No grand entrance. No big entourage. No bling-bling. Just Mega and his close-knit crew.
Celebrating the June 25 release of his CD The True Meaning, Cormega, his peoples, the press, etc. sipped free drinks while his CD played on repeat. The atmosphere was mellow with a lounge-like feel as Justin’s regulars mingled with party-goers at the bar. Mega walked around, posed for photographers and politicked with everyone. Far from a studio gangsta, Mega’s sweet, shy smile overpowers his hardcore image. He may have done dirty deeds, but the Mega out tonight is calm and humble.
Close to midnight, he previewed the video for his first single, “Built For This,” which includes club and street scenes.
When asked how he felt, Cormega replies, “Very good. I feel redeemed. Like I had the chance to silence the critics.”
